THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 2021
HARLEM FEATURING APOLLO THEATER TOUR
Harlem is so much more than you can imagine! Our unforgettable day will include: Special guided tour of Harlem’s famed Apollo Theatre. The tour is educational, entertaining and inspirational. Take a peek at the wall back stage full of signatures of all the famous musicians and artists that have performed here. Lunch at Dinosaur Barbeque, a popular Harlem restaurant. A guided riding tour highlights the diversity, history and beauty that is in Harlem, from the Harlem Meer in Central Park, the exterior of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, the famous brownstones, the beautiful West side and so much more!! COST: $130pp (Includes deluxe motor coach, all admissions & gratuities to Driver & Tour Director) Depart: 7am GSC

THIMBLE ISLANDS AND CHOWDER POT
Delicious lunch at the CHOWDER POT III in Branford, CT. Known for their generous portions of fresh food, the Chowder Pot’s menu features choice of: Baked Stuffed Sole, Baked Salmon, OR Chicken Piccata. New York Style Cheesecake for dessert. Enjoy! Entrée Choice in Advance. THIMBLE ISLANDS CRUISE aboard the Sea Mist takes us along the Rocky Isles off Stony Creek Coast in Branford, CT. See the wonderful estates and learn the stories of these beautiful islands.

**NOTE: Approximately 2 block walk to boat from the coach bus on a paved hill.

Registration begins on the dates noted below. Register as soon as you can.

Payments will be made directly to the Tour Company arranging the trip. Checks can be dropped off to the Senior Center office or mailed directly to the Tour Company.

In most circumstances, departure will be from the East Lyme Community Center Parking lot.


Recheduled:  Aug 27- Sept 3, 2021 – 8 day Alaskan Cruise on the Celebrity Solstice. See the wonders of Alaska from the comfort of a cruise ship. Air fare included. Depart from T.F. Green International Airport. Prices start at $2668pp. Registration has begun.

Cancelled:   Oct 3-12, 2020 – 10 day Shades of Ireland trip includes 13 meals. Visit Dublin, Blarney Castle, Kilkenny, Waterford, , Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher and more. Transportation & transfers included. $3649pp double occupancy, $4249pp single occupancy, or $3619pp triple occupancy. Registration has begun.

Recheduled: Oct  2021 “Queen Esther” at The Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Trip includes a stop at the Appalachian Brewing Company on day 1 and the Mount Hope Estate & Winery on day 3. $565/double, $715/single, $515/triple. Registration has begun.

​Take me out to the ball game! We take a bus from Groton Senior Center to Fenway to cheer on our 2018 World Series Champs play the Minnesota Twins Sox from our Loge Box Section 160 seats. We take our own premium coach bus to the 1:05 pm game. This is a family friendly afternoon game. We have 40 seats only! Cost is $160/resident includes transportation, game ticket and driver gratuity. 40 person max

Trip to NEWPORT PLAYHOUSE “SEX PLEASE, WE ARE SIXTY”

(MATINEE 1 PM SHOW) At Newport’s only Dinner Theater enjoy their great home-style buffet, a wonderful play in their intimate theater and a fun-filled cabaret in the dining room. Buffet 11:30am, Curtain 1:00 pm & Cabaret always follows the play. SEX PLEASE ,WE ARE SIXTY is written by: Michael Parker & Susan Parker produced by: Newport Playhouse and directed by: Harland Meltzer. “If you need a rollicking good time filled with laughter, this is a must-see play.” – The City Wire. We leave at 9:45 am & return approx. 6 pm at GSC.
