When registering for any of the below trips, you can sign up yourself and one other person only. Payment is due upon registration. Please stop by the Senior Center office.

DAY TRIPS Registration begins on the dates noted below. Register as soon as you can. Trip counts are required a month in advance to determine if we have the minimum number for a trip to run. Detailed flyers available for all Day Trips. 

Tue, Oct 1st – Join us for a narrated tour of a Cranberry Bog at A.D. Makepeach Co – the world’s largest cranberry grower. Lunch is included at Lindsey’ Family Restaurant and menu choice is needed upon registration. Stop at Dorothy Cox Chocolates Factory before heading home. Trip fee is $92pp. Moderate walking. Registration begins Jul 1st.

 

Tuesday, October 22nd- Trip to see Legends in Concert! at Foxwoods

The all-star line up of amazing celebrity look-alike and sound-alike performers of Stevie Wonder, Sting, Lady Gaga, Freddie Mercury, Donna Summer & Elvis Presley will performing their signature hits and fan favorites!  Each legendary performer not only looks like the star they portray, but use their own natural voices to pay homage to their iconic music counterpart.

Legends in Concert live tribute shows are known for their elaborate theatrical sets, magnificent costumes and full array of incredible special effects, including state-of-the-art lighting, laser and sound systems.  An outstanding cast of accomplished tribute artists, talented singers and dancers, and a live band comprised of some the top musicians in the industry, perform at each amazing show!

You will also be given a Festival Buffet food voucher and $10 in bonus slot play!

A Foxwoods Rewards Card or photo ID is required to receive the buffet and slot bonus.

COST: $35 per person  Includes Legends in Concert 2:00 p.m. matinee show ticket, Festival Buffet Lunch, $10 bonus slot play and transportation.  Limited tickets available

This trip will be using the Senior Center bus for transportation.

You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the Senior Center, before and after the trip.

Tuesday, August 13th- Dine Out at Chester’s BBQ

The community gives to the Groton Senior Center; Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community. Each month a Restaurant is featured. Ride the senior van or meet us there. Order a full entrée or just appetizers. An evening outing, socializing and enjoyment!  Please join us Tuesdays for a “socially nutritional” evening .

Tuesday, September 10th- Trip to Lavendar Hill Farm Alpaca and Ekonk Turkey Farm

Departure Time: 12:15pm

Come meet and greet the stars of the farm. Take a tour of the farm and visit the alpacas. Stroll the gift shop that has a variety of items like handmade soap, local honey and alpaca apparel. Next, we will take ride in the beautiful countryside to visit Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm for some Ice Cream. Limited Seating. Please Sign up!
