Trips

If you have suggestions about travel ideas, please contact the Senior Center office at 860-739-5859. We will consider all requests. Don’t be shy – tell us what is on your bucket list.

Day Trips are planned for the months of April through December. On average, there are 2 Day Trips per month scheduled. These trips are held in conjunction with Lymes’ Senior Center and Waterford Senior Services as a way to ensure enough registrations for a trip to run. Day Trips are open to adults.

Registration dates for Day Trips are noted on their specific flyer. It is important to register as soon as you can. If a Day Trip is full, be sure to put your name on the Wait List. If there are enough names on the Wait List, we will look to run a second bus or to schedule the same trip at a later date. If that happens, all names on the Wait List will be called first.

OVERNIGHT TRIPS/CRUISES

Overnight trips and cruises are scheduled throughout the year. Their duration is anywhere between 2 nights to 2 weeks. These trips are also held in conjunction with Lymes’ Senior Center and Waterford Senior Services as a way to ensure enough registrations for a trip to run. Overnight Trips and Cruises are open to adults.

Registration dates for Overnight Trips/Cruises are noted on their specific flyer. It is important to register as soon as you can.

    Friday, June 21st- Day Trip on Coach Bus to Newport Flower Show

    Trip to the Newport Flower Show at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport with lunch/shopping on your own at the Wharf. Trip fee is $49pp. Registration begins March 1st. Moderate walking.

    Tuesday, June 11th- Day Trip to Central Park Tour

    Take a professionally guided tour of Central Park in NYC with lunch included at Buca di Beppo. Trip fee is $100. Registration begins March 1st. A lot of walking.

    Wednesday, May 22nd- Fun Day Trip to Hartford Yard Goats Game

    Departure time: 9:00am

    Return time: 2:30pm

    SENIOR CENTER FUN TRIPS
    Come join us watch our own Hartford Yard Goats play at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford. This 10:30am game will include lunch. Departure from the Senior Center at 9am. Return around 2:30pm. Trip fee is $20pp.
    Registration for both Fun Trips begins on May 1st.

    Open to Non-Residents if there is availability Non-residents will be charged a $1.00 surcharge.

    Senior Center Fun Trips use a bus from the Center for transport to and from destination. # of seats very limited. Registration for these trips ONLY will be on the 1st business day of the month starting at 8am. Call the office to register and then make your payment by 4pm on the 2nd business day. You can only register yourself for 1 trip but may go on Wait List for the 2nd trip.

    Wednesday, April 25th- Trip to Grasso Tech
