DECEMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH IS LOUISE LYNCH

Louise is a phenomenal volunteer here at the center. During COVID she went above and
beyond to help with our community events. You could often find her directing traffic for
meal distribution or food box pick-ups. She helped with our outdoor events whether it
was a concert or luncheon. Louise also handed lunches out for our Grab and Go lunch
program she was committed to this program and it went on for a year and half. Louise
also has also been an ambassador for the center for many years. Louise is very welcoming
and always greets everyone with a kind smile.
Louise enjoys spending time with her family and loves to scrap book during all of her free
time. When Louise isn’t volunteering here at the center you can find her volunteering her
time at The Garde Arts Center as an usher.
Louise is a great volunteer who is very committed to the center and has given countless
hours/years to us, we appreciate her immensely !!!

Mask Mandate will end as of tomorrow, Wednesday, November 10th

The Town of Groton Covid-19 Indoor Mask Mandate will end as of tomorrow, Wednesday, November 10th. While we continue to suggest practicing LLHD’s recommendations for Staying Safe from Covid-19 as Communities Reopen (information link below), masks will no longer be required in the Groton Community Center or the Groton Senior Center.

However, please note, Groton Parks & Recreation programs taking place at Groton Public School buildings must still adhere to the Governor’s existing school mask mandate.

Also, in keeping with CDC guidelines, Connecticut continues to require that masks be worn on public and private transit vehicles. So, persons utilizing the Groton Senior Center’s buses/vans for transportation must still wear masks.
