We offer day and extended trips around the USA and abroad. Great for singles, couples, families – there’s something for everyone and all ages. Trips are open to the public.

    Day trip to Newport Playhouse: Edwards Twins Show

    Groton Senior Center presents day trip to Newport Playhouse: Edwards Twins Show TUESDAY, MAY 8.

    This will be a matinee 11 am show.  The World Famous Edward Twins, is the top Twin and Impersonation act in the world. Their vocals and looks will amaze you. You will think you are seeing and hearing the real superstars right before your eyes. From Barbara Streisand, Sonny and Cher, Andrea Boccelli, Bette Midler, Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder to Neil Diamond all in one show. We leave at 9:45 am and return approximately 5 pm at Groton Senior Center via GSC bus.  Cost includes transportation, lunch and show is $65/resident and $75/nonresident.

    Outdoor Excursions: Friday’s Hike Postponed

    Well, thank goodness that snow storm wasn’t too bad.  Yet, our scheduled  Avery West Trail hike with Avalonia Land Conservancy for tomorrow,  Friday, March 23rd has been postponed with a TBA April date.  We should have the new date within the week.

    Next week, weather is looking good for our  SEAL WATCH  Tuesday, March 27th in the afternoon with Project O that we privately chartered (instead of sharing with a school group)

    Here are the details (just I case you weren’t aware):

    March  27th 1:00-3:30pm  Project Oceanology Seal Watch Cruise

    Please join us for a privately chartered boat excursion to observe the harbor seals in their natural habitat. The program begins with a brief presentation about these marine mammals that visit Fisher’s Island Sound each winter. We are scheduled for 1-3:30pm. After the presentation, participants board the Enviro-lab, binoculars in hand, and travel to popular seal destinations.  Cost is $38 pp
