    Senior Center Book Discussion

    Fourth Wednesdays of the Month at 10:30am in the Senior Center Library.

    The upcoming titles will be given out at the monthly meetings or you can pick them up at the Gales Ferry Library. New members are welcomed!!

    June 22 – This is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel
    A contemporary story about family and learning to be who you are… and how that secret ends up keeping them. A novel of great empathy and compassion that transcends politics.
    August 24 – The Last True Poets of the Sea by Julia Drake
    In a novel that takes place in Maine, this story is “about a lost shipwreck, a missing piece of family history and weathering the storms of life.”

     

     

    Music Performance by: MEZZO-SOPRANO ALLISON LINDSAY SINGS SONGS AND ARIAS FROM OPERA AND MUSICAL THEATER with Gerald Moshell, pianist on Wed, May 4th

    Ms. Lindsay has sung leading roles with the Connecticut Lyric Opera and the Madison Lyric Stage, as well as having performed professionally in Boston, Providence, New York City, and Bad Gastein, Austria, as one of the winners of their Festival’s Concerto-Aria Competition.
