    TRUE TALES OF NEW ENGLAND

    Join us for TRUE TALES OF NEW ENGLAND told by Storyteller Monica Peterson on November 27th at 1:00pm. Historical stories of bravery, foolishness, love, and a touch of the supernatural. Audiences will travel back in time to meet a heroine of the American Revolution, see the ghost ship of New Haven and laugh at the antics of a town’s battle against a bunch of bullfrogs. As a professional storyteller and actress, Monica has entertained at the JFK Presidential Library, and at festivals such as the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Great Park Pursuit at Rocky Neck State Park, the Connecticut Storytelling Festival at Connecticut College, New Haven’s Waterfront Festival, and Tellebration.

    “Using Technology to Stay Safe in your Home.”

    On November 20th at 1:00pm Lisa Kunz of Helping Hands- Healing Hearts will present an informative program “Using Technology to Stay Safe in your Home.”

    Thanksgiving Luncheon with Elvis

Following lunch come enjoy as an Elvis Impersonator, Raymond Guillem will performs a spectacular show highlighting Elvis with all the glitz and lights!!

    Experiences in Raising Guide Dogs

    Join us on November 14th at 1:00 pm as local residents Val Hazlin and Janet Cody will be talking about their Experiences in Raising Guide Dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind Program, present a DVD and offer a first-hand look at a guide dog that Val is currently training. This free interactive program will involve real guide puppies in training.

    “Get Your Happiness on Part 2.”

    Join us as Atrinity Home Health Company presents “Get Your Happiness on Part 2.” As we grow older we face significant life changes that put us a greater risk for depression. Stress management, positivity and new coping strategies will be introduced at this talk as well as a discussion of the importance of having a positive attitude and laughter therapy.
