DAY TRIPS

Day Trips are planned for the months of April through December. On average, there are 2 Day Trips per month scheduled. These trips are held in conjunction with East Lyme Senior Center and Waterford Senior Services as a way to ensure enough registrations for a trip to run. Day Trips are open to adults.

Flyers are available at the Senior Center with the Day Trip’s information or about any trip you are interested in taking.

 

Registration dates for Day Trips are noted on their specific flyer. It is important to register as soon as you can. If a Day Trip is full, be sure to put your name on the Wait List. If there are enough names on the Wait List, we will look to run a second bus or to schedule the same trip at a later date. If that happens, all names on the Wait List will be called first. *No refunds unless your ticket can be re-sold

The Orchid Show– New York Botanical Garden, Tuesday, April 16th Botanical Garden, Eating, Shopping $120 per person.

9/11 Memorial Museum & Memorial– (Eating, Museum, Memorial)- Sunday, May

Harvard Glass Museum & Mapparium– (Mapparium, Lunch, Glass Flowers Exhibit)- Thursday, May 30th; $150 per person; register by April 22, 2024

Newport Playhouse: The Cemetery Club– (Show & Lunch)- Tuesday, June 11th;
$122 per person; Register by May 24th

West Point Campus Tour- (Buffet, Tour, Purple Heart Hall of Honor)- Thursday, June
20th; $154 per person; register by June 6th

Lighthouse Cruise– Narragansett, RI- (Cruise, Buffet Brunch, Shopping) Wednesday,

OVERNIGHT TRIPS/CRUISES

There are usually 4 overnight trips scheduled throughout the year. Their duration is anywhere between 2 and 4 nights. In addition, 2 – 4 cruises are planned and/or longer, overnight trips. These trips are also held in conjunction with Lymes’ Senior Center and East Lyme Senior Services as a way to ensure enough registrations for a trip to run. Overnight Trips and Cruises are open to adults.

Flyers for the Overnight Trips/Cruises are available at the Senior Center with information about any trip you may be interested in.

    New York City Trip

    Sat, April 30th – New York City on your own – Bus leaves East Lyme at 7:45am and leaves NYC at 7:30pm – Trip fee is $48pp.  Registration begins January 4th. No meal included in trip price.  Lots of walking.

    Mohegan Sun Trip

    Thu, April 7th – Join the Lymes’ Senior Center for a trip to the Mohegan Sun. Departure will be from the East Lyme Senior Center but checks will be made out to the Lymes’ Senior Center. No meal included in ticket price but you will receive a casino package. Trip fee is $20pp.  Registration begins January 4th. Moderate walking.

    Mohegan Sun Trip

    Join us on November 12th for a bus trip to Mohegan Sun.  Bus leaves at 9:15am and returns by around 3:45pm.  The cost of the trip is $20.00.  Seats are limited so please sign up as soon as possible.  With this trip you receive a $15.00 food/retail voucher & a $15.00 bet voucher for the wheel from Mohegan Sun.  Call (860)434-1605 ext. 240 for more information.
