RENTER’S REBATE PROGRAM 2021
For our seniors and disabled residents that have rented in Connecticut during the 2020 calendar year, you may qualify for the State Renter’s Rebate Program. We will begin taking applications in May and the Program runs until the end of September. For details, income guidelines, required documents, please contact Kathie at the Center! #860-848-0422. For those seniors and disabled residents that are homebound, our Outreach Worker, DeeAnn Morton, can come to the home to complete the application. She can be reached at #860-848-8820 or the Senior Center number in the late afternoon.
APPLICATION ASSISTANCE
There are many programs and services available to our elderly population. Some are local, some State, and some Federal. Many times the applications for these programs and/or services can be quite lengthy and challenging for our seniors. If you need help in filling out these applications or you have questions on what service is available for you, please call Kathie at the Senior Center to make an appointment. CERTIFIED CHOICES COUNSELOR PROGRAM
Offered by appointment at the Center, the Director, Kathie Peck is a Certified Choices Counselor and offers assistance to those in need on Medicare, Supplemental Plans / Medigaps, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, & more. Also, Benefits checks to see what/all of the state/federal programs you might qualify for. Information on your current income is needed. This is done with confidentiality and privacy for you! HOSPICE SUPPORT GROUP
We will be starting this again soon. Please call for details. We have a volunteer from the Hospice Association that comes to facilitate a Hospice support group and activities. Please call the Center for next date and time. Confidential.
PODIATRIST
This program will be held at the Montville Senior Center once again. We have a wonderful Podiatrist, Dr. Thomas Walter, come to our Center once a month to perform routine foot care. Not a service normally covered by Medicare unless you are a Diabetic, Dr. Walter will perform routine foot care for a cost less than a regular office visit. Seniors will be let into building during appointment time only, wait time will be outside. This Program is free to Montville seniors. Funding for the program is provided by Title III funds made available through the Area Agency on Aging and the Town of Montville. We ask for a $6.00 donation request per the Grant, not required for the service. Call Kathie for details and date of next visit.
