The Preston Senior Affairs Office has taken on a slightly different way of conducting business.

Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, face-to-face interaction is temporarily on hold until such time as the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has been eliminated. I will continue to accept telephone messages and adjust regular support in completing re-determination forms, SNAP applications, etc. to requesting that you use the US Postal service or the Blue Drop Box located in the front of the Preston Town Hall to deliver your documents to me. Safety is a priority!

The Blood Pressure Screening conducted monthly at Lincoln Park Housing has been cancelled until further notice.

    Seaside Sanatorium Historical Research Project

Andrea Masisak, Resource Assistant, State Parks Division, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is compiling a history of the old Seaside Sanatorium in Waterford, Ct.. This location is currently a Connecticut State Park. Integral to the history are the experiences/memories of surviving former patients, staff, and anyone familiar with the daily life of Seaside from
1934-1958 when it treated children from throughout Connecticut for tuberculosis. As these people are now up in age, Andrea is reaching out to senior centers across the state for assistance in reaching anyone who is familiar with Seaside Sanatorium during those years. If you are willing to assist Andrea, please contact her at 860-424-3413 or by email: Andrea.Masisak@ct.gov.
