    Adopt-A-Family

    Norwich Human Services is seeking individuals and organizations that are willing to sponsor a local family this Holiday season.  All Families are from the Norwich area and are in financial need with most living below the poverty level.

    You or your organization will choose the size of family you are willing to help. You will be given information about the family in need, including first names, ages, sizes and special interests of each family member.  All families have been screened by a case manager to verify information and need.

    Bells of Fire Handbell Concert on Friday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m.

    Please join us for a delightful morning of holiday handbell music by the Bells of Fire Handbell Choir led by Director Jane Nolan.  Fun holiday music including Winter Wonderland, Jingle Bell Rock and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year will be performed.  Some audience participation will be included.

    Monetary donations will be collected to support the Bells of Fire music fund.

    Roseland Combo Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m.

    Let’s celebrate the season!  Rose City Senior Center’s concert band, Roseland Combo, will be performing their Holiday Concert for all to enjoy.  This wonderful band consists of the very talented Senior Center members ~ Paulette Devino, Mike Manning, Phil Murtha, Lolita Wood, Betsy Brewster and Bill Wrobel.  A delightful selection of holiday songs will be played.  Hope you join us!

    Holiday Charcuterie Board on Wednesday, December 7th at 1:30 p.m.

    Make your own Charcuterie Board in this fun class with Chef Roman from Whisk Together Catering!  Chef Roman will demonstrate how to make a Holiday inspired Charcuterie Board while helping you create your own!  Learn tips and tricks to make this holiday season delicious and unforgettable.

    Cost: $10  All materials will be supplied.  Limited seats available.

    Norwich Winterfest Light Parade on Saturday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m.

    The Winterfest Parade is coming and this year Norwich will be having its first ever Light Parade!

    It’s going to be a great time and an amazing kickoff to the holiday season in Downtown Norwich.  The theme this year is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and the Senior Center will have a decorated bus along with some staff in the parade!
