- You need to be a registered and up-to-date Member to take part in activities, classes or events and to utilize services we offer including transportation, hairdresser and Massage Therapy.
- Please fill out a Membership Application to update your renewal information. It is important for us to have your correct address, phone number, emergency contact, etc.
- Please use your SCAN CARD every time you visit the Senior Center. The statistics are vital for us to maintain what we offer by showing usage of our classes, programs and services. If you don’t have a Scan Card or you are not sure how to use it, please stop by Reception for help.
Community Health Nurse
Barbara Boiselle LPN of Harford Healthcare Community Health provides preventative screenings, disease specific education, medication education, and care coordination to Norwich seniors (age 55 and older). Barbara is at Rose City Senior Center on Mondays and Thursdays and in the community at various Norwich senior housing locations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Barbara is focused on screenings, education, and referrals only, and will not provide any active treatment. She will record vitals and can provide testing as needed. Barbara can also help with scheduling physician appointments, as well as medication refills and concerns.

Norwich Residents: Suggested $25.00 per year Out-of-Town Membership: $40.00 per year
Membership renewal is due now, regardless of when you originally signed up.

Farmer’s Market Cards
Will be distributed on:
Tues. June 11th,, Wed. June 12th, and Thurs. June 13th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Farmer’s Market cards are available to low income seniors who meet certain eligibility requirements.
You must meet the following Eligibility Requirements in order to receive a benefit card:
¨ You must be 60 years or older. If you are under 60 and disabled you must meet eligibility requirements and live in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals where congregate nutrition services are provided.
¨ Yearly income not to exceed $27,861 for single or $37,814 for couple.
¨ Must be participating in another need based program that verifies income eligibility such as Renter’s Rebate, Congregate Meal Program, Medicaid, SNAP (Foodstamps), etc.
¨ You must be a resident of the town you receive the benefit card from.
Limit of one card per eligible senior annually.
Bathroom Renovations Starting June 3rd
There will be handicap-accessible Porta-Potties available in our parking lot and hand washing stations set up during renovations. Porta-Potties will be the only bathrooms available during this time. Renovations on the bathrooms could take up to 4 weeks.
Rose City Senior Center will be operating as usual (or the best we can!). We apologize for the inconvenience, but look forward to brand new bathrooms soon!
Deterra Drug Deactivation and Disposal System
Dispose of unwanted medications properly to prevent misuse and to protect the environment.
The Deterra Drug Deactivation and Disposal System is a safe medication disposal pouch that can be used at home. It is an effective way to destroy unused, unwanted and expired medications with the simple addition of tap water for safe disposal in the trash.
