Old Sturbridge Village, Sturbridge, MA
Your festive day starts with a late lunch at Cracker Barrel (lunch on your own). Following lunch, a short ride brings you to Old Sturbridge Village for Christmas By Candlelight!
Christmas by Candlelight is an evening of traditions, memories, and holiday cheer. Experience the magic of a candlelit New England township, decorated inside and out, while learning the history of Christmas celebrations of the mid-1800s.
Talk with authentically costumed historians about Christmas traditions of the past. Watch demonstrations of classic Christmas projects of the 1800s including Christmas baking, mulled cider, making ornaments and Christmas stockings, punching tin lanterns, making pottery, and more!
Enjoy a horse-drawn carryall ride while singing Christmas carols. Stroll around the pond and wander down the peaceful Christmas Tree Trail with dozens of sparkling lit trees. Head over the covered Christmas Wish Bridge and leave your Christmas wish. Enjoy live music, readings of classic stories such as The Night Before Christmas and A Visit from Saint Nicholas, sing-a-longs, learn a holiday dance and warm up by the bonfire on the green. There’s Christmas magic at every corner!
Please be aware that Christmas by Candlelight is held mainly outdoors with visits inside historic building and houses. Please dress accordingly. You will be walking on some uneven sidewalks and dirt roadways to walk around the village. You are on-your-own to explore and at your own pace.
COST: $52 per person includes charter bus transportation and entrance ticket to Old Sturbridge Village Christmas by Candlelight. Driver tip is not included. Lunch is on your own.
