These easy, seasonal crafts are good for beginners but all are welcome to join. All materials supplied.
This class is free for Senior Center Members and
led by our very crafty volunteer Joyce.
Class size is limited and you need to sign up in advance to join the class.

This is a 7 week series meeting on Mondays which will focus on a variety of music, movement (in chair), writing and art. Each week we will use different music to guide a weekly creative activity.
Any member of Rose Arts Senior Center can participate. This program is free.
Participants can join any time during the 7 weeks of classes. First class is Monday, July 11th.
Classes will meet on July 11th, 18th, (no class July 25th) and August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th

Our first stop will be Faneuil Hall Marketplace where you will have time on your own to shop and have lunch. One of Boston’s most well known historic sites, Faneuil Hall Marketplace was constructed in 1742 and has served as a marketplace and meeting hall since it first opened its doors.
Today, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is actually four great historic places in one location – Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market and South Market. Offering plenty of history, great stores, artisan pushcarts, restaurants, food stands, street performers and entertainment!
Next, a short bus ride brings us to the Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience exhibition located at the SoWa Power Station. Through nine distinct galleries, Beyond King Tut unlocks the 3,300 year old story of King Tut in a new and exciting cinematic way!
Produced in partnership with the National Geographic Society, Beyond King Tut takes visitors on an immersive cinematic journey to Egypt to witness ancient wonders of the world, like the Temple at Karnak and the Great Sphinx, all in stunning high-resolution detail.
Audiences then gaze upon a brilliant Egyptian sunrise over the Pyramids of Giza, before traveling back in time 3,300 years to the 18th dynasty and the age of the Golden Pharaohs when King Tut ruled. There, meet Ancient Egyptian gods like Ra and Anubis, while descending into King Tut’s burial chamber and joining him on his quest for immortality. An event that makes ancient history come to life!
COST: $65 per person – Includes charter bus transportation and Beyond King Tut admission fee.

Tuesday, July 19th
First stop will be The Copper Skillet restaurant for an early lunch. The Copper Skillet offers salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, beef, seafood and Italian entrees.
After lunch, a quick drive brings you to Lavender Pond Farm where you are on your own to explore the lavender fields and gift shop on the 25 acre property. Optional: for $8 take a ride on The Lavender Express for a 20 minute educational tour of the property. Bring cash with you if interested.
Please be aware at Lavender Pond Farms you will be walking on uneven or grassy terrain to walk around the fields. Lavender Pond Farm only has a port-a-potty for visitors to use.

Cost: $2 for transportation. Lunch is on your own.
Bus leaves the Senior Center at 10:15 a.m. and returns approx. 3:00 p.m.
This trip will be using the Senior Center bus for transportation.
Murder at the Howard Johnson’s
Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Theater, Newport, RI

Join us for a fabulous day at the newly renovated and reopened Newport Playhouse!
Start with a delicious, all you can eat, buffet lunch featuring a large selection with all foods prepared onsite. Following lunch, enjoy the hilarious performance of Murder at the Howard Johnson’s. Following the show, return to your seat in the dining room for drinks and a fun-filled Cabaret Show!
Is all fair in love? Even murder? That’s the question posed by this light and funny suspense comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn. The play involves a woman, her lover, and her husband. First, the wife and her lover plot to murder the husband. But then, the wife and her husband plot to murder the lover. When that doesn’t work, the husband and the lover plot to murder the wife… but this attempt, like the others, fails in a hilarious way!
Face Masks are required to be worn in Newport Playhouse unless actively eating or drinking.
COST: $88 per person includes charter bus transportation, fabulous buffet lunch, matinee performance of “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s”, and cabaret show. Driver tip is not included.

You must meet the following Eligibility Requirements in order to receive a coupon booklet:
¨ You must be 60 years or older.
¨ Yearly income not to exceed $25,142 for single or $33,874 for couple.
¨ Must be participating in another need based program that verifies income eligibility such as Renter’s Rebate, Congregate Meal Program, Medicaid, SNAP (Foodstamps), etc.
¨ You must be a resident of the town you receive the coupon booklet from.
¨ If you are under 60 and disabled you must meet all other eligibility requirements and live in subsidized housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals to be eligible.
Limit of one coupon booklet per eligible senior annually.
