SNAP FOOD PROGRAM:         You may be eligible for extra help with the cost of groceries. Call the Senior Center for Information and/or to make an  appointment to apply.

DIAL A RIDE TRANSPORATION IS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE GRISWOLD SENIOR CENTER

 

Dial-a-Ride Transportation for Individuals who are Seniors or for those who have Disabilities Dial-a-Ride services are available for the Town of Griswold/Jewett City residents for medical trips, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  There is SMALL FEE and no money exchanged between the driver and the rider. Anyone interested in utilizing the service must first register with the Griswold Senior Center by calling 860-376-2604

    TVCCA Energy Assistance

    Winter is still here. Need help with fuel or your electric bill? We are taking applications for Energy Assistance at the senior center. Call to make your appointment and let your friends and family know too!!

     

    MARCH- DAY KIMBALL HEALTH CARE AT HOME

    Day Kimball healthcare will be doing a Falls Risk Screening Clinic here at the senior center. This is a free workshop that is open to the public.

    Registration is required.  Raffle prize & refreshments!

    Clinic includes:

    • Top 7 Risk Factors for Falling
    • Identify your Own Risk Factors for Falls
    • Identify Strategies to Decrease your Fall Risk Balance 
    • Screening to Identify your Risk of Falling 
    • Blood Pressure Screening for Postural Hypotension

    Time: 12:30pm – 4:30pm

    AARP Members  $15.00 /  Non Members $20.00

    Participation in this course will save you money on your automobile insurance.
