Avalonia Land Conservancy presentation at 1 pm Monday, June 12th

MONDAY June 12th at 1pm we have a unique OATS program  in which Avalonia Land Conservancy will discuss and demo their new HIKE & SEEK program.  This will take place in the Groton Senior Center Technology Center.

Avalonia Hike and Seek encourages exploration of our beautiful preserves by children, families and the general public through a scavenger hunt format. It allows participants to use technology and social media in a simple, positive way to learn about the nature of each preserve, encourage observations, and to interact with others engaged in the same activity. An incentive to leave no child inside!

As always , please call 860-441-6785 to sign up for this FREE OAT presentation if you plan to join us!

EMERGENCY INFO- All Call Is Back!

The Town of Groton Emergency Management System has a system to generate a call when a class is canceled. This is similar to the system that was previously used. The call will come from 860-445-2000 and will say the Town of Groton has an emergency message and it will then say the message. This system will be used to notify everyone of any changes made to their schedule due to cancellation, weather, or other related reasons. Please listen to the whole message.
