Wildlife & Eagle Cruise

Please join us Thursday, March 14th for a day trip on a Wildlife & Eagle Cruise.

From the CT River Museum docks in Essex at 2:00 pm we take a 2 hour “on-the-water” cruise to search for eagles & other winter wildlife.

RiverQuest has a heated cabin, but we suggest that you dress in warm layers since the best views will be from the open decks. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars! No binoculars? No worries, we have plenty on board for you to borrow! We will also provide complimentary coffee and tea.

We will you not only get to enjoy the river and its wildlife from the water, but also the entire museum and their special Eagles of Essex exhibit.

**New Eagle Couple: They have been watching this couple all year as they established their territory. Riverquest has found a nest & watched them bring in sticks… hoping for some winter nesting activity there!

SATURDAY, MARCH 23th- METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE AT LINCOLN CENTER NEW YORK CITY

We are off to the opera to see Samson & Dalila. Samson the hero of the Israelites, wins the hand of a Philistine woman, Semadar .When she is killed during a conflict on her wedding night, however, Samson becomes a hunted man whom the Philistines, including Semadar’s sister, Delilah , want to punish. This becomes complicated, however, when Samson suddenly acquires God given superpowers, and Delilah’s true feelings for Samson surface. 1:00p Performance – Running time 3 hours – Balcony Seating. Time following the performance to grab a bite to eat before departing for home.

Tuesday, January 8th- Dining Out at Par 4

Time- 5:00pm-7:00pm

The community gives to the Groton Senior Center; Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community. Each month a Restaurant is featured. Ride the senior van or meet us there. Order a full entrée or just appetizers. An evening outing of dining, socializing and enjoyment! Please join us Tuesdays for a “socially nutritional” evening. Registration is required– please be sure to let us know if you want to ride on our Groton Senior Center bus.
