We offer day and extended trips around the USA and abroad. Great for singles, couples, families – there’s something for everyone and all ages. Trips are open to the public.

    Award-Winning National Geographic Photographer & Producer Todd Gipstein will explore the art and artistry of photography. He will share insights from 50 years behind the camera shooting for documentary media.

    How do you become a good observer of life? How do you engage with people, places, animals? How do you document experiences in photographs? What makes a good photographer & a powerful photograph? This non-technical talk will inspire you to look at life in new ways.

    All are welcome.  Light refreshments included.

    Tuesday, November 27 -Dining Out at Captain Daniel Packer Inn

    The community gives to the Groton Senior Center; Dining Out is our way of giving back to the community.  Each month a restaurant is featured.  Ride the senior van or meet us there.  Order a full entrée or just appetizers.  An evening outing of dining, socializing and enjoyment!  Please join us Tuesdays for a “socially nutritional” evening.  Registration is required– please be sure to let us know if you want to ride on our GSC bus.

    The restaurant is quite charming and offers a “cozy inn” ambiance. Travelers from near and far visit to step back in time with us and experience the fine fare and hospitality guests at the Daniel Packer Inn experienced over 200 years ago.

    Wednesday, November 7th- Tip to Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Matinee

    At Newport’s only Dinner Theater enjoy their  great home-style buffet,  a wonderful play in their intimate theater, and a fun-filled cabaret in the dining room. Buffet 11:30am, Curtain 1:00pm & Cabaret follows the play SYLVIA. We leave at 9:45 am & return appx 6 pm at GSC. Cost  is $57/resident

    Set out to explore the best of Western Canada on a tour that opens in Vancouver and takes you to Banff aboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer train. Begin your trip with breakfast at Capilano Suspension Bridge. Enjoy the “living forest” and try their new Cliffwalk and Treetop Adventures. Then enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver that begins in beautiful Stanley Park and stops in the famed Granville Market. Board your train and travel among the fields of Fraser Valley and the scenic Fraser River. Journey alongside Kicking Horse River while enjoying the beautiful scenery. During your time in Banff, stop at stunning Peyto Lake and admire Bow Falls.
