AARP Driving Course

this course reviews and reinforces safe driving skills.  Offered once a month on a Friday.

Arts n’ Crafts

Paint, sew, bead, glue and generally have a good time.  Easy to follow instruction and good company.  Must be capable of working independently.

Line Dancing

This program offers a variety of country line dancing steps and music.

Ballroom & Latin Dance

Come learn what all the fuss is about!  Each week our instructor will take you through a new Dance style, everything from classic waltz, foxtrot, Tango to American Rhythm of cha-cha, salsa, swing and rumba. You are taught the dos and don’ts of lead and follow along with simple smooth Latin technique. At end of each class there will be a 30-minute practice dance party. Beginner is held Tuesdays, Advanced on Thursdays

Did you receive a new iPad or tablet as a gift and not sure how to use it? Have questions about your smart phone or other electronic device? Stop by and get some answers! An employee from Jerry’s Computer Repair will be here to assist you in learning how to use your new device and answer any questions you have. Wi-Fi available.

Mahjong *

* This is an advanced level group. Limited space may be available.

Mahjong is a Chinese game of skill, strategy and calculation using tiles with symbols and pictures. It is played similar to the card game Rummy in that you “draw” and “discard” tiles in an attempt to match them to win the game.

Chair Yoga

Cost: $4 per week or $3 per week paid in advance

Wednesdays at 12:15 in the Program Room. Instruction by Carol Klammer.

All the postures are done either seated, or standing near a chair.  Areas that are worked on include: strengthening and releasing tightness for hips and shoulders; stretching and relieving tension for the back and spine; balance and stability for feet, knees and hips. Maintaining or increasing flexibility, strength and balance is the focus for this class.

 

Yoga

Cost: $4 per week or $3 per week paid in advance

Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:45 AM in the Program Room. Instruction by Carol Klammer.

This is a balanced class for strengthening, stretching, meditative focus and overall vitality.  The poses and movements are done in sitting, lying and standing. Poses can be modified so that all participants can make the class work for what they need. This class is a floor based exercise class. Please bring a yoga mat with you.
