    Trip: Newport Daffodil Days

    Celebrate the arrival of over 1,200,000 bright yellow daffodils throughout the Newport area. Our “Daffy Days” trip will begin with shopping and lunch on-your-own at Bannister’s Wharf, then we’ll pick you up and take you to the Cliff Walk, so you can enjoy the thousands of daffodils lining the famous Cliff Walk. From there, we will take the scenic Ocean Drive before heading back to the senior center.
    ** Please note that this trip requires moderate to extensive walking.

    Trip: Italian Festival Featuring the Jersey Tenors

    At Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT

    Trip: St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Boston

    Sunday, March 19

    DEPARTING:  8:00 a.m. Norwich Commuter Parking Lot, Laura Blvd/ Rt. 82, Norwich (I-395 Exit 11)

    RETURNING:  by 8:00 p.m.

     

    Watch this world-renowned parade as floats, marching bands, and revelers make their way through the South Boston streets to honor St Patrick and celebrate Irish heritage.   We will visit Quincy Market after the parade, where there’s an array of eateries to grab a bite of Boston flavor.   Instead of the parade you can tour the magnificent city of Boston on your own.   Spend the day at your leisure exploring the museums, historic sites, boutique shops, and restaurants.

    FEE:  $68 per person; price includes motorcoach transportation

     

    Trip: The Mark Twain House & Museum

    Tuesday, March 21st 

    Departing at 9:00am

     

    This exceptional 25-room Victorian house was home to the legendary author, Samuel Clemens, known as the “Father of American Literature,” and was recently named one of the ten Best Historic Homes in the World by National Geographic.  We will have a Living History Tour, which is an immersive experience that allows you to explore a slice of life in the Clemens household.  We will be stopping for lunch-on-your-own on our way back.

    Please note that this house has a lot of stairs and NO elevator.  Face masks must also be worn while in the house.

    Trip: Lunch & Show at Medieval Times

     

    Lyndhurst, NJ

    Sunday, February 19th from 8:30am-7:30pm

     

    The Queen of the Royal Court invites you to travel through the mists of time to a festive celebration where you’ll be in awe of gallant knights, majestic horses, and magnificent falcons.   From the moment you enter the castle gates you’ll be immersed in Medieval Spain.   The top knights of the kingdom will battle with brawn and steel to determine the victor to protect the throne.   The Queen has commanded her royal chefs to prepare a four-course meal for you.   Also be sure to tour the Hall of Arms where  elaborate coats of arms and a spectacular array of medieval weaponry are displayed.
